Thomas Edison
Artifact Collection
Over the years, the Charles Edison Fund has acquired a large collection consisting of over five thousand tangible items of "Edisonia" or Edison Artifacts, namely, early electric lamps, vintage phonographs, motion picture projectors, and numerous other artifacts related to the inventions and discoveries of Thomas Edison. These items of "Edisonia" are on display in more then 50 museums across the continental United States. With some frequency these exhibits are moved from one museum to another to enhance their public exposure.
Our trustees pay periodic visits to these museums to insure that the Fund's properties are properly cared for and displayed. They offer advice, when needed, on how to make better use of the materials for the education and enjoyment of the American public and international visitors.
