Now take a few minutes to think about the orientation of yourhouse to the forces of nature. If your house is in a northern area, for example, shrubbery along the northernmost wall might give it more protection from winter storms. Are there drapes or curtains in front of windows exposed to the winter winds? Could anything be done to your home to give it more protection?
